Portugal’s main wine region is located along the rambling shores of the Douro, with gorgeous vineyards creating incomparable scenery. This is considered one of Europe’s most unspoiled regions, and the pristine scenery is enhanced from the river on board our “home,” the Douro Queen, for a full seven days. Built in 2005, the Douro Queen is an elegant three-decked vessel carrying only 120 guests.

Our cruise leaves from Porto, and takes us to the Spanish border at Vega de Terron, from where we’ll tour Salamanca, founded in 1218. In two days we cruise back to Porto.
