River Cruise to Portugal
October 21 - October 31, 2010
Joe says, “Come with me and enjoy ‘my’ Portugal”.
Why not do something REALLY different?
Joe Baptista, our assistant manager, would love to show off some of the most beautiful parts of his homeland, Portugal, which will include cruising the Douro River. Portugal’s main wine region is located along the rambling shores of the Douro, with gorgeous vineyards creating incomparable scenery. This is considered one of Europe’s most unspoiled regions, and the pristine scenery is enhanced from the river on board our “home,” the Douro Queen, for a full seven days. Built in 2005, the Douro Queen is an elegant three-decked vessel carrying only 120 guests.
Our cruise leaves from Porto, and takes us to the Spanish border at Vega de Terron, from where we’ll tour Salamanca, founded in 1218. In two days we cruise back to Porto. Leaving October 21st, 2010, our 10-day tour/cruise sells for only $2399 per person, sharing. This includes - the 7 day cruise with all meals included, wine with the meals, two-nights at a deluxe hotel in Lisbon with full breakfasts, transfers to Porto, wine tasting at a “Quinta” (wine farm) in the town of Pinhao (an exclusive on our tour), 7 shore excursions, 2 lunches and 2 dinners onshore featuring local cuisine, and all taxes and service charges.
This unique itinerary is offered just this once, so you should consider it as a “must” for your 2010 travels, so give Joe a call at ext. 108. GET A $350 discount per person if you pay in full on or before Dec. 30th, 2009 (subject to availability). Optional pre or post cruise stays are available to visit historic north Portugal.
